Hi,
I'm Ania
I've been teaching parents how to take better photos of their kids for nearly 15 years now!
I'm a firm believer that family photography is about capturing true, unfiltered moments of our family lives and our children's growth. The kind of photos that look how the moment felt and that tug on your heartstrings years after they've been taken.
I want you to learn how to take these kind of photos too and Clickstarter is what I'd star with if I were someone who wants to improve their photos.
Ania
Photo Clickstarter
starts Monday 7th April 2025
5 days
Starts Monday 7th April, fully online
5 lessons
All about photographing kids and families
5 challenges
To put your new skills in practice

What happens in the course?

5 days - 5 lessons - 5 challenges
Every day for 5 days we will give you a short lesson that will address one of the key problems for a parent photographer. We will be focusing on things that are especially key for a parent photographer - capturing a wriggly toddler is a different ball game to a photographing a serene landscape! Every day will come with a challenge designed to help you practice your new skill. We'll be taking it one day at a time so as not to overwhelm you.

Focus on what you see and composition
It would be foolish to promise you that you'll gain all the skills in 5 days. Camera know-how skills in particular take time to properly understand and master, not to mention the sheer diversity of levels at which people come to this course that would make it impossible to pitch the level right. So instead we focus on the kind of skills that can be applied to any camera, even you phone, that make a big difference - learning how your camera sees the world differently, learning photographic storytelling and learning composition.

Support and inspiration
We know people learn best when they have a supportive community around them, when they have somewhere to as questions and when they have lots of great examples to inspire them further. We've been doing it for a while and have picked up a thing or two! That's why our courses come with a community element built in - for the first time now on our new learning platform where you will have the courses and the support and community all in one place. No more facebook groups!

WHAT YOU GET:
We give you 5 practical, instantly actionable lessons with daily challenges - all non technical and jargon free, so that even if you're a complete beginner, you can still end the week with a load of fantastic images and plenty of big ideas for capturing your little ones. And it's FREE!
What you need
ALL YOU NEED is a child / children you can practice your photos on and a camera (a camera-camera is best, but if you don't have one, a phone camera will suffice!)
I’ve had such a blast this week, learning some great techniques to make my photos really come alive. Thank you so much Ania Wilk-Lawton for all the advice and techniques. Still loads to learn but this has definitely started me off on my photography journey

This has been amazing. I have learnt so much in this week and can already see such an improvement in my photos. You presented it in such an easy to understand way. The task for each day made it so fun. All I want to do is get my camera out and take pictures to practice what I've learned!

In short – NO. Ideally, you will have A camera – it definitely doesn’t need to be big or fancy. However, if all you have is your phone camera – you can still join – we won’t be going into anything technical at this stage, and most of what we will be doing will work for phone cameras too. This week is about teaching you to see things a bit differently, and that you can do with any device.
No, you don’t. Your daily lesson will be released the evening before each bootcamp day ( so you can watch it ahead of time) and from that point on, it will be accessible throughout the week ( and for a few days after). I will be speaking to you live in our group daily, and if you can catch me live – that’s great! – but all the videos will be viewable later so you can always watch me on replay.
No, you don’t. We make this course deliberately non-technical so that anyone can join. We know that every time we run a bootcamp, we get a real range of people who join – from complete beginners who only ever use their phones, to seasoned ‘clickers’. Everyone gets something from the course – from learning the basics, picking up a few tips and tricks on how to make your photos better, see your kids in a new light to inspiration and prompts to just take photos you wouldn’t have thought of before.
Nothing. Nada, Nic, Null, Zero. There is no hidden cost, no ‘trials’ – it’s Free – simple as that. We are a Photography education company and we run full size paying courses that go a lot wider and deeper into the art and craft of photographing children, and while we do hope that having a taste of our courses might make you consider joining us, this mini course is really, truly free.
