Improve your Photography while capturing your children in Spring
Spring Photo Bootcamp
Spring Photo Bootcamp
starts Monday 26th April
Spring is in the air and it’s the perfect time of year to focus on capturing your children with beautiful photographs.
But we hear you.
You’re worried that you don’t know enough about your camera to improve. You aren’t feeling inspired this year with everything going on. Or maybe it’s just the time constraints of being a busy parent that keeps you from improving your photographs.
Photography for Parents has the perfect answer for you!
Spring Photo Bootcamp
A free opportunity to take pictures you’re proud of in a community of others learning alongside you.
- 5 daysMonday 26 April–Friday 30 April
- 5 lessons - A new lesson each day to help you improve one area of photography that’s currently holding you back. Focusing on the aspects that help you compose beautiful pictures, you don’t need to know a lot about how your camera works.
- 5 challenges - It wouldn’t be a bootcamp if it didn’t come with a daily challenge! The only way to improve is to practice what you learn. The daily challenges will give you an incentive to practice.
And we’ll let you in on a little secret – we think it’s so important that you practice that there is a chance to win if you participate daily
what is the Bootcamp all about?
You'd think that with all the wonderful sights and colours of Spring taking great images would be a walk in the park, but actually there are challenges: from light that can be a bit too harsh, to 'what exactly do I do with my kids now that I found some pretty flowers' to actually showing the 'spring-ness' of this Spring in your images - it's not all so self-explanatory.
WHICH IS WHERE WE WILL FOCUS:
- We will be getting serious about flower-power and how to capture your kids among the blossom and spring flowers - even if they're not inclined to stop and smell the roses... ( and what kid is, let's be honest)
- We will help you with your composition and storytelling and especially things that work when you're out and about with your family
- We will be looking for and capturing some beautiful light to really make your images sparkle!
- CRUCIALLY - we will be focusing on how it all applies to photographing children and your families!
A little bit about us:
Photography for Parents has been teaching parents how to take beautiful, heartfelt, capture-the-moment-to-forever-tug-on-your-heartstrings photos for more than a decade.
Our free bootcamps are about getting your camera out of the closet and getting you clicking. Doing is better!
We give you specific, targeted, easily applied guidance to capture your children in this moment to remember forever. And there’s no catch! The bootcamp is free with no obligations.
We do run paid online photography courses for anyone who wants to dive in even deeper, but we’re ano-pressure business and there won’t be a hard-core sales pitch at the end of the bootcamp
And if you're worried about where your data goes - don't be - we don't spam and will even remind you at the end to unsubscribe if you no longer want to hear from us. No catch.

More Questions? Here’s some of the common questions we get.
I’m a photography novice. Can I still participate?
Absolutely! This is the perfect bootcamp for you. We will be going over some of the basics that everyone taking a picture should think through! We aren’t going to be doing a lot of training on your actual camera because we know, from a decade of experience, that improving images lighting, framing and composition is the best first step.
I am not very creative.
I don’t know if I can take beautiful pictures. If you follow the 5 lessons and practice, we are 100% confident that you will see an improvement in your pictures regardless of the level of creativity you believe you have. Remember, you will be in a Facebook group of others learning along with you. Sometimes, our creativity just needs a bit of inspiration.
I don’t have a lot of time these days.
How much time will I need to invest? We hear you! That’s why we’ve made each lesson concise and easy to absorb. You’ll need 10 minutes for each lesson. Practicing can take as much time as you want. Even taking a few pictures a day will help you grasp the lesson more fully.
Is it really free?
Yes–it’s completely free! There’s no catch. We make no secret that our bootcamps can serve as a taster for our full, paying courses, and we do hope that you like what you learn enough to join. But our bootcamp stands on its own legs–you will get 5 days of instantly applicable skills that will help you improve your photography regardless of whether you join us for a course later.
