There is no better other way to learn photography than to dive in and do it. But going it alone leaves too many questions unanswered and can get low on the motivation and inspiration front.
Not with us - we have 3 different ways to help you learn with us and always someone to ask a question to or someone to cheer you on.
A membership that's serious about learning
We know what works when learning photography - 15 years of teaching photography to parents taught us what makes our students progress and grow and actually improve! And it's all part of the new membership.
1. Self Paced Courses
Flexible courses, offered as a combination of text + images + videos + practice exercises that allow you to dip in and out as you please. Because maybe it's a rainy Tuesday and you fancy learning some Photoshop without having to wait 3 months? Or maybe you have a new baby and you don't want to miss the precious months that you could be documenting their development.
2. Live run courses with an instructor
Each of our portfolio of courses gets a scheduled live run each year ( sometimes 2 ) and you get to join them and progress with an instructor at your side. This way you can connect with a smaller group of your peers, you have an instructor on hand to ask your questions to, ger personal direct feedback from and live weekly lessons to help you progress better.
3. Community and ongoing education
Nothing is as good at keeping you growing and clicking as a community of like minded peers and getting continuous prompts to pick up that camera. This is where our very own Camera Club comes in - we made it into an integral part of the membership and it will include weekly and monthly tutorials, Online Lives with featured photographers, highlights, competitions and more.

Hi I'm Ania
I founded PhotoParents ( originally known as Photography for Parents) 15 years ago and saw it grow from a humble small group course run in my local play-cafe to this vibrant online community of passionate parent learners who inspire me and one another daily. As a parent, I know how important capturing those childhood moments is and being able to teach people how to do this better is my great privoledge. I hope you'll join us!
Our students REALLY progress
As as student - how would it work for me?
When you sign up for a membership you will be give access to our private course and community platform ( no Facebook ). Inside you'll find 3 areas :
- Live run courses - with a yearly schedule of instructor-led courses
- Self Paced Courses - self paced courses that you can jump into at any time and any order
- Camera club - our community hub with ongoing photography projects and features
You are free to start learning and participating in any of those spaces straight away . We'll recommend a course progression right for your level and offer support when needed. You will become a part of a vibrant community of like minded parents, passionate about documenting their kids childhoods and learning photography.

All our courses are fully online. Live run courses have an instructor which advise and guides the students through online webinars and groups.
Yes, absolutely. You can cancel the membership from one billing cycle to another. We cannot refund for unused time or courses and you will lose access to your membership plan when you cancel.
It is more economical for you to purchase the yearly version of the plan as it gives you 2 months free, but if you prefer to pay on a monthly basis, you can choose to stop your subscription at any point. At this point you will lose access to all the courses in your plan ( with the exception of any courses you purchased before 2025) and all the premium community spaces ( Camera club)
Yes! You will be able to purchase Feedback credits to receive support from one of our available instructors. Feedback credits can be purchased to accompany a live run course or an online course. The cost of these is between £55 abd £70 per course depending on the course duration.
Not at the moment. This may change at a later date but for now it's only available with regular membership.
