Photoparents Membership Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 01 Sept 2026

These terms govern your membership of Photoparents (the "Membership"), operated by Ania Wilk-Lawton trading as Photoparents. By joining the Membership you agree to these terms.

1. What the Membership is

Photoparents is a photography education community for parents, giving members access to:

  • 10+ Self-paced photography and editing courses you can dip in and out of
  • Scheduled live courses with an instructor and direct feedback
  • The wider member community hub including weekly challenges and tutorials, downloadable resources, space to ask questions and connect with other parents and interest clubs

2. Joining

You must be 18 or over to become a member. The Membership is intended for parents and carers; if you're joining on behalf of a family, the person who creates the account is the one who agrees to these terms and is responsible for the account.

We may ask for basic information to set up your account (name, email, payment details) and may decline or suspend membership at our discretion, including where we reasonably believe an account is being misused or shared beyond what these terms allow.

3. Fees and payment

Current membership pricing is shown at Photoparents Membership - PHOTOPARENTS - currently £32 per month or £299 per year.

We reserve the right to offer seasonal discounts. Discounts cannot be applied retrospectively.

By providing payment details you authorise us to charge your chosen method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe — we don't store your full card details ourselves.

4. Billing cycle and renewal

Monthly memberships renew automatically each month; annual memberships renew automatically each year, unless you cancel before the renewal date. We'll always email you in advance of renewal so there are no surprises.

If a payment fails, we'll try to let you know and may suspend access to member content until it's resolved.

5. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time directly from your members account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you'll keep access until then, and you won't be charged again after that.

Cooling-off period: if you're a UK consumer buying online, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of joining for a full refund, unless you've already accessed course/community content, in which case this right may be limited once you've started using the service.

Refunds outside the cooling-off period: We don't offer refunds for partial months/years, but you're welcome to cancel future renewals at any time.

6. Changes to the Membership and pricing

We may add, change, or retire courses, features, or community elements over time as Photoparents evolves — that's part of an ongoing membership. We'll give existing members reasonable notice of any price increase, and a price change won't apply until your next renewal after that notice.

7. Community guidelines and member content

Photoparents is a space for parents to share and learn, which means members will often be posting photos of their own children. By posting in the community you confirm that:

  • You have the right to share the images you post (they're your own photos, or you have permission to share them)
  • You won't post images of other people's children without that parent's consent
  • You'll treat other members and their families with respect — no harassment, shaming, or unsolicited critique outside what's asked for

We may remove content or suspend membership for anyone who breaches these guidelines, particularly around child safety and privacy — this isn't just a legal formality for us given what the community shares.

You keep ownership of photos you post. By posting, you give us a licence to display that content within the Membership (e.g. in the Camera Club feed). We won't use member photos in our own marketing without asking first.

8. Our content and intellectual property

Course materials, lessons, and other content we provide as part of the Membership are ours (or licensed to us) and are for your personal, non-commercial use as a member. You can save things for your own reference, but no part of Photoparents courses or materials can be copied, re-published or distributed to any third parties

.

9. Data protection

We handle your personal data, and any images of children shared within the community, in line with our Privacy Policy. See the Privacy Policy for the specifics on who has access, and your rights under UK GDPR.

10. Ending membership

We may suspend or end your membership, with notice where reasonably possible, if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms — particularly the community guidelines around child safety and member conduct. Where we end membership for breach, we may not owe a refund for the remaining period; where we end membership for other reasons (e.g. discontinuing the service), we'll deal with any refund fairly.

11. Liability

We provide the Membership as an educational community and don't guarantee specific results from following our courses or advice.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time — for material changes, we'll let members know by email before they take effect. Continuing your membership after that means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
